New courses and certification updates from AWS Training and Certification in August 2024

Welcome to August’s post announcing new training and certification updates — helping equip you and your teams with the skills to work with AWS services and solutions. Missed our July course update? Check it out here.

This month, we launched 46 new digital training products on AWS Skill Builder including 28 new digital courses, 2 new AWS Builder Labs, and 1 new and 1 updated Learning Plan. We also launched one new Classroom training for executives, Generative AI for Executives, and updated Data Warehousing on AWS. Registration and exam prep materials are now available for two new AWS Certifications: AWS Certified AI Practitioner and AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate.

We are also announcing the AWS Distributor Resell Capability. AWS Partners and SMB customers can now easily bundle services and training in a single motion to accelerate innovation when working with an AWS Distributor. New AWS Skill Builder subscription features

AWS Skill Builder subscriptions are available globally and unlock enhanced AWS Certification exam prep and hands-on AWS Cloud training including interactive learning and lab experiences like AWS Cloud Quest, AWS Industry Quest, AWS Builder Labs, and AWS Jam challenges. Select plans offer access to AWS Digital Classroom courses to dive deep with expert instruction. AWS Digital Classroom courses dive deep with expert instruction and are available with Individual annual subscription and Team subscription.

AWS Digital Classroom

AWS Digital Classroom courses combine the depth of live classroom training with the convenience of digital learning. They provide comprehensive knowledge and skills enablement through recordings of expert instructors, demonstrations, hands-on labs, knowledge checks, and assessments. Enjoy flexibility in time, location, and pace, along with the ability to pause, rewind, and revisit content. AWS Digital Classroom is available as part of AWS Skill Builder Individual annual subscription and Team subscription.

AWS Certification exam preparation and updates

Certification exams

Registration is now open for two new AWS Certifications focused on artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and generative AI. Both beta exams are offered in English and Japanese. Supporting exam prep materials are also available.

  • AWS Certified AI Practitioner is a foundational-level certification designed to showcase an individual’s understanding of AI and generative AI concepts, their ability to recognize opportunities that benefit from AI, and their knowledge on using AI tools responsibly.
  • AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate is an associate-level certification for individuals who want to demonstrate their ability in building, deploying, and maintaining AI and ML solutions on AWS.

Exam prep

Prepare for AWS Certification exams with confidence, following 4-step plans on AWS Skill Builder. Each plan includes free content such as practice question sets and enhanced content, via subscription, like official practice exams, self-paced labs, and game-based learning.
