Efficient troubleshooting for Amazon EBS microbursting to obtain optimal performance
July 30, 2024 |  9:00 AM PST | 60 min
Amazon CloudWatch monitors the IOPS (op/s) and throughput (byte/s) for all Amazon EBS volume types by collecting samples every one minute. Microbursting occurs when an EBS volume bursts high IOPS or throughput for significantly shorter periods than the collection period. Because the volume bursts high IOPS or throughput for a shorter time than the collection period, CloudWatch doesn't reflect the bursting. This session will train you about what is microbursting and how you can leverage CloudWatch metrics to identify the same and potential fixes.
